WARDEN MESSAGE - ELEVATION OF HOMELAND SECURITY THREAT LEVEL
On March 17, 2003, Attorney General Ashcroft and Secretary of Homeland Security Ridge announced that the Homeland Security Council has raised the homeland security threat level from Yellow (Elevated) to Orange (High). For additional information about the different threat levels, please refer to the Department of Homeland Security Internet web site at www.dhs.gov <http://www.dhs.gov>.The Department of State continues to monitor security conditions overseas and, as always, will promptly disseminate information affecting the safety of Americans abroad through its consular information program. These documents are available on the Department's Internet web site at www.travel.state.gov <http://www.travel.state.gov>.
