The Embassy of the United States of America recently initiated a new visa appointment system, effective July 28, 2004.
Travelers who wish to apply for a visa to visit the United States should call the Embassy's Consular Section on 250-955 between the hours of 09:00 and 12:00, Monday through Thursday, to request an appointment for an interview.
Visa applicants will be asked to submit their applications, fees, passports, and supporting documentation on the business day prior to the applicants scheduled interview.
The Embassy recommends that all applicants for U.S. visas plan their travel well in advance to allow for potential delays in visa processing. Applicants should consult the U.S. Embassy in Zambias homepage (http://www.usemb.org.zm/wwwhcon.htm#top) if they have any questions about the visa application process.
