The Public Affairs section  promotes a better understanding of American life, institutions, economy, politics, and culture, by promoting American Studies abroad, facilitating study in the U.S., and promoting studies of American language and and literature.

Educators whose subject matter touches on American Studies, whether they be university professors, primary or secondary school teachers, curriculum designers, textbook writers, etc., are encouraged to contact the Public Affairs Officer at Public Affairs section to discuss how we might help to enrich existing programs or develop new programs.

Students who plan to study in the United States should contact the Education Advisor at the following number: (260)-1-227-993/4. This office has reference materials in paper and electronic format to assist in identifying appropriate college and graduate programs and learning the entrance requirements. It also arranges for the student to take required examinations.

For information on scholarships and fellowships available through the student advising office of the American Center, click visit the web page for the Fulbright/Humphrey Program.
